The strange fungus

So, hi, people, I'm back from awesomely awesome Guatemala(yay!) and I just got back to Atlanta like 3 hours ago and now I'm going to post about this strange bunch of fungus-y things that have been growing in my yard...with pictures!! And now without further ado:

 STRANGE FUNGUS-Y THINGS
Stage 1
The fungus basically looks like a bunch of neon yellow throw up.

 Stage 2
 The fungus becomes slightly puffy.

 Stage 3
The fungus fades to a brown way paler than the picture.

Stage 4
The fungus begins leaking black dust.

Stage 5
The fungus collapses into a pile of really dark brown dust. I think it might be spores or something.

 That is basically it.

The story of libya's flag (as told by clarissa with some edits)

Once there were some people, and they decided to make the best country in the entire world.
They tried to think of a name, but all they could come up with was "Libya".
"Oh well", they said, and decided to get back to it later.
Then they began designing the flag.
It had a green background with rainbows and snakes and butterflies and dolphins and bears and a cheerio to show how awesome their country was going to be.
They started by painting the background.
Then, as they were letting it dry, a bunch of millimeter-high natives they hadn't noticed before attacked them while riding bugaboos.
The end
Update: I am now giving Ben credit.

My sister has a blob blog. It is this address.

She's 10, by the way, and not a psychopath. She's not Audrey.

Happy belated pi day!

Sorry for not posting this yesterday.
Also:
It's literally a pi pie!
Does this not get more awesome?
Not that this has anything to do with pi.
It's a guinea pig, in case you couldn't tell.
See its nose?

Bye.

Extra hair

My sister has extremely long hair. Although she likes it that way(in spite of the tangles) she'd be willing to get it cut for a good cause.
So she researched Locks of Love. Somewhere along the way, she found that they only use 15% of the hair donated to them.
Now, I'm not sure if this is true or not, but we were thinking- if they don't use that hair for wigs, then what do they do with it?
Here is a sampling of our ideas:
-Soup
-Fake mustaches
-turn it into gelatin and make hair jello, then put it on the map of the Scandinavian peninsula
-Prosthetic toenails
-scarves
-throw it at people who they don't like
-put paint on it and then throw it at people who they don't like
-make jello out of it, then throw it at people who they don't like
-just eat it

There were loads more, but as we were extremely hyper at the time most of them made even less sense than these.

I don't actually have any ideas for a post

I would, if this computer would just let me put pictures on my blog, but since it doesn't, I don't.
Um.
Anything interesting happen today...?
Okay.
Social Studies: Watched interesting video called "guns, germs, and steel." It was about how Pizarro was able to defeat the Incas. I was really confused because people were saying it was boring. You didn't have to enjoy it, but it wasn't boring. I really liked it, though. The llamas in it were awesome!

Band: We had a performance evaluation thing. I did not end up playing and therefore got extremely nervous for absolutely nothing.

Lunch: I ate some pasta and read a book.

Reading: We wrote some poems. Absolutely none of mine made sense. They would have been limericks except that we just each got a bag full of paper with words on them and had to make a poem out of them. I got completely unrelated words such as cockroach, hands, wake up, tomatoes, and pillowcases. It was... interesting.

Science: We talked about water and somehow talked about murder and torture. My science class is really weird. Then again, it's not as if I didn't bring up some interesting points myself.

Math: It was the last class of the day, which isn't normal for math but in my opinion should be. I got really excited because all through the class I was waiting to tell everyone the formula for surface area of a cylinder. I did end up getting to tell them but I got very fluttery and quietly bouncy. Oh, and I fine-tuned my theory of the universe. When it's done I'll tell you about it.

Anyway, that's about it.

Whop.

Sunday, February 13

One thing to do when you are bored besides randomly google imaging things is to type something random into google translate, then translate it through like 10 zillion languages. At the end, put it back into english and see how it came out.
 For example:
Right before I go to bed, I brush my teeth and sing to my guinea pigs.
turns into....
Just before sleeping, swimming and singing animals.
Or for another example:
Ill roses can send rubber ants into your gaping hairy nostrils.
turns into....
Sisimizi are poor rose from her hair, nose on the opening ball.
I mean, it was strange to start with, but now it's about as meaningful as that lorem ipsum dolor sit amet thing!
Speaking of which, I tried translating that too. It was still basically gibberish, but some of it was english.

Hello world! Is love
Welcome Welcome to elit
Eset during the fall and which toil and pain him some great. To take a trivial example, which of us ever 's training. In the Lorem Ipsum censured occur in which toil and pain some great pleasure....
and so on.
So, yeah, that's it.

About the pictures

So I started the pictures. I drew the fishoid creature, took a screenshot of it, and got the screenshot of it into iphoto. Then I did the same with the sponge poster. Then I went here and started to put them in a post. But the thing said that it rejected the server. So, no pictures today until I figure out how to get past that.

I am really really sorry

Okay. This is not going very well. I said this was my first blog ever and not to be too disappointed, right? Well, this is the kind of thing I meant. I didn't post for a while and then when I realized it it just got worse.
I didn't want to draw attention to the fact that I hadn't posted. I apologize.

In return, I would like to draw you a picture. It can be of whatever you like. Tell me what you would like me to draw for you and I will draw it.

Peanut butter

My sister and her friend are very strange. One of the things they really like to do is mutilate barbie dolls. I guess this qualifies me as slightly strange as well, because I enjoy helping them. This one time her friend brought over a brand-new barbie doll, which was good because we had used up all our old ones. We elected to make it a pirate. So first we cut off most of its hair. Okay. Then I hacked its leg off with a pair of scissors. That was harder than you would think it to be, because aparrently the little bendy mehanism inside its knee is very strong. After burying the doll in salt, coffe, and rotten eggplants, we suddenly changed our minds and decided to fix the doll(mainly becuse the chopstick we were trying to use for the peg leg kept falling off) and make her into our patient. Of course, before we did that, we had to make her look injured. We tried covering her in ketchup, but it kept sliding off and smelled way too tomato-y. Then we came up with a brilliant idea.
Ketchup mixed with peanut butter is the most disgusting smell/color/texture in the world. Keep them well away from each other. Never try this at home.

A disclaimer for the title of this blog and the blog itself

I know that it is slightly strange. I just happen to have a guinea pig cage on my desk and it's the first thing I looked at when I was trying to think of a title. I am not completely obsessed with guinea pigs, just a little. You know, since Cavia Porcellus is the scientific name for the guinea pig. This is my first blog. I hope it's not too dissapointing.
